Does the job need to be done at all?
What steps are required? Can you create a procedure to follow?
Does the procedure have any exceptions?
What systems do you interact with? A system could be a computer, paperwork, or another person's job.
Why do you do things the way that you do?
Your answers will be instructive for training a replacement or automating parts of that job.
