What I'm Doing Now
I'm working remotely as a Data Scientist for a medical supplies company. My personal role is small, but our work is vitally important right now. I'm doing what I can.
I'm learning to refine and reflect on my thoughts through writing. I'm codifying my mindsets, tools, and ideas by moving them out of my head into words. I'm looking to consume less and create more, sharing these ideas with the internet.
I'm using my downtime to read and learn.
I'm working to build a database to serve as repository for my contacts that's customizable to my needs.
I'm also building out this website. Right now I'm happy with the static hosting portion, but I want to add some backend functionality. I'm learning how do that one step at a time
I'm moving to become more tech independent. That I'm moving away from platforms to open-source tools that I can manage myself. Asking myself: if this company were to stop providing or lock me out of their service, how much would I be affected? For example, I've chosen to host my own website, rather than relying on a platform for my career or friends. This process is something I'm working on sharing through writing.
This transition means that I'm moving off of Social Media platforms as well. If I don't have your email address and you want to stay in touch, send me an email: row.land/contact
